Established in Fall 2026, the Student Engagement & Well-Being (SEWB) Advisory Board at Georgia Tech brings together visionary leaders and committed partners who believe in the transformative power of meaningful student engagement and vibrant, inclusive communities to develop leaders who advance technology and improve the human condition. The inaugural members will advise the Vice President and other senior leaders on how to best position and sustain SEWB for maximum impact and reach.

SEWB sits at the heart of the Georgia Tech student experience beyond the classroom. It advances learning, connection, and belonging for undergraduate and graduate students in order to develop durable skills, enhance well-being, and promote holistic success throughout their Georgia Tech journey.

Purpose

Guided by a commitment to student flourishing and institutional excellence, the Advisory Board supports SEWB’s strategic direction by:

Serving as trusted, creative thought partners on issues related to student engagement and well-being, as well as offering purpose-driven advice and insight that is forthright and actionable

Acting as passionate ambassadors who strengthen connections across Georgia Tech, alumni, and community networks and amplify awareness of SEWB’s essential role in fostering resilience and opportunity for all students

Encouraging philanthropic investment that accelerates SEWB programs and transformational initiatives, ensures that SEWB’s impact is sustainable, and catalyzes bold innovation and experimentation

Advisory Board Membership

The Advisory Board is intentionally composed of individuals who bring diverse perspectives, experiences, and networks. Members are invited to serve based on one or more of the following attributes:

  • Demonstrated, unwavering commitment to Georgia Tech and its transformative power for individuals, families, and communities;
  • Belief in the importance of high-impact student experiences, flourishing and well-being, and development of the total person; and/or
  • Desire to contribute meaningfully as thought partners in SEWB’s mission.

As such, members will include Georgia Tech alumni (to include more recent graduates from the last decade), family members of current or past Yellow Jackets, faculty and staff from the Institute, and/or external stakeholders who have a vested interest in higher education broadly and Georgia Tech specifically.

Inaugural members of the Advisory Board will play a defining role in shaping culture, identifying focus, and advancing momentum. This founding cohort helps establish a strong foundation for the present and the future, ensuring that SEWB’s work continues to evolve, expand, and positively impact many generations of Georgia Tech students to come.
