Support for Graduate Student Families: Childcare Tuition Assistance Program and Perks

Graduate students at Georgia Tech now have even more resources to support their academic journey and personal well-being thanks to a new child care tuition assistance opportunity. Launched by Auxiliary Services, a department within the cabinet area of Student Engagement and Well-being, this program was created to help ease the financial burden of child care costs, which reflects the Institute’s commitment to fostering a supportive environment for its students. Programs to Help Grad Students Balance Family and Studies Graduate students can now apply for tuition assistance when enrolling their children at Georgia Tech’s on-campus child care facility, The Children's Campus @ Georgia Tech (TCC). TCC is managed by Bright Horizons Family Solutions and is conveniently located in graduate student housing. All Georgia Tech students and employees receive a 10% tuition discount at TCC. Graduate students can apply for tuition assistance by visiting this link. In addition, graduate students who do not have their children enrolled at TCC can now take advantage of the newly expanded “Parents Night Out” (PNO) program. This initiative, previously only available to enrolled families, allows graduate students to drop off their children for supervised care twice per semester on Friday evenings from 6 – 9 p.m. at a low rate. One graduate student shared how transformative this has been, saying, “PNO was the first time I had been able to go on an actual date with my wife in three years!” Expanding Awareness of Campus Discounts and Perks Beyond tuition assistance, Georgia Tech offers a wealth of discounts and benefits designed to support graduate students. In partnership with Auxiliary Services, Graduate Education has compiled a list of several perks graduate students can take advantage of. On this list, students will find benefits that support various areas of their campus life and well-being. For example, Campus Recreation offers membership discounts for spouses/partners and plus ones making it easier for graduate students and their families to stay active and engaged.
