Special Election Edition

student news & events election edition

Aloha Yellow Jackets,

Every four years, we come together as the people of these United States to engage in one of the most important privileges of living and leading in a democratic country: voting in our national election. It does not matter your political viewpoints or the candidates you choose to back. What we share is a common obligation to exercise our civic duty to have our voices heard and to honor the will of the people.

After the election is done, the votes are finally tabulated, and the winners declared, we must then work mindfully to once again be one Yellow Jacket community – moving forward with grace and compassion for each other, as well as always holding hope in our hearts.

We will remain connected by our commitment to Georgia Tech’s vision, mission, and strategic values, as well as through our unwavering pursuit of excellence in learning, teaching, research and service.  And, in an effort to facilitate our coming (back) together as one collective, Student Engagement & Well-Being departments have planned a number of post-election events where we can dialogue, discuss and engage in civil discourse. Please join us!
